The paper “Sensor-Driven Preventive Preservation in Remote Built Heritage: A Threat-to-Sensor Approach” presents a practical mapping between heritage threats and sensing technologies for remote, infrastructure-poor sites.
The approach connects climate, structural and environmental risks with appropriate sensor types, low-power communication and early-warning workflows. It is a concrete step from digital-twin theory toward field-deployable preventive preservation.
