OPUS investigates how coordinated UAV swarms can overcome limitations in flight duration, operator workload and mission adaptability. The project develops optimisation methods for persistent operation, intelligent use of charging stations, automatic scheduling and real-time mission adjustment.
Its intended applications include environmental monitoring, emergency response and public safety. ILSP coordinates and implements the project, led by George Alexis Ioannakis.
